Freight Forwarding Software - Sea and Air

The freight forwarding involves 2 freight forwarders or 2 offices of the same freight forwarder – one at the source or the loading point and once at the destination or the offloading point. So, typically for the same freight forwarding job, the loading point will term it as an export job and the destination point will term it as an import job. LSS caters to the full implementation cycle of the Freight Forwarding Process Flow. So, LSS – Freight Forwarding Module typically caters to both – Import Freight Forwarding and Export Freight Forwarding.

Freight Forwarding : The Freight Forwarding will actually begin with the Enquiry Sheet, Cost Sheet, Quotation and confirmation of the business or quote.

Booking or Job : The Freight Forwarding module will allow the user to choose data from a particular quote. Once the user selects the quote, all relevant data from the quote will flow into the booking. The user can then update additional fields into the booking screen including container and charge details.

This module allows user to add job details and system generates the job number. User enters details of Freight Forwarding for the Customer and enters data such as Name of the Importer, Exporter, Broker, Seller, Buyer. The Port of Loading and Port of Discharge details for each shipment are also entered.

Bill of Lading :

The preparation of Bill of Lading is done in 2 ways:

Freight Forwarding

Freight forwarding is a service used by companies that deal in international or multi‐national import and export. While the freight forwarder doesn't actually move the freight itself, it acts as an intermediary between the client and various transportation services. Sending products from one international destination to another can involve a multitude of carriers, requirements and legalities. A freight forwarding service handles the considerable logistics of this task for the client, relieving what would otherwise be a formidable burden

Freight forwarding services guarantee that products will get to the proper destination by an agreed upon date, and in good condition. The freight forwarding service utilizes established relationships with carriers of all kinds, from air freighters and trucking companies, to rail freighters and ocean liners. A freight forwarding service generally provides one or more estimates to the client along with advisement, when necessary. Maxpack is a desktop based application. It gives the best fit for stuffing various pack sizes within a container. It also chooses the best container available for these pack sizes. Activity or Workflow Planner :

On the submission of a job, the activity template predefined for various process flows will be created for that job. The user can then update the different activity dates and the relevant columns against the same. The user can then generate Customized Daily Status Report for different customers.

Document Management System:

The user has an option to upload scanned documents, emails, excel files or any other files against any standard tables or the transactions. For example, one can upload the final bill of lading scanned and uploaded against the respective bill of lading.

Communication Module :

The user has an option to define all email grouping for various auto emails and reports which need to be generated. These will give auto emails selected for To, Cc and Bcc. The user has an option to send this email automatically or whether the email screen should pop up during communication with the party.
